暑期学校由被誉为“日本城乡再造泰斗”的西村幸夫教授领衔，浙江大学联合日本东京大学、泰国朱拉隆功大学组成教师团队，通过讲座授课、田野调查、分组讨论、设计提案、指导评优等环节，为营员提供学习城乡遗产保护田野工作基本要领、以及开展国际交流的良好环境与机会。 

现面向海内外公开招募学员

【招募要求】

1.公开招募国内高校硕博在读的国际生与海外高校硕博生。暑期学校不收取报名费用，为录取的学员提供在杭活动期间所需住宿交通，其他费用需自理。（报名成功后需填写免责协议书）

2.定向招募浙江大学、东京大学、泰国朱拉隆功大学在读硕博生。

3.请发送个人简历、申请理由说明(不超过500字)至邮箱xcsinzju@163.com。

4.报名截止日期：2018年06月08日。教师团队将根据报名情况进行筛选，并于2018年06月15日前给与确认通知。

【学校创办主旨】

“向场所学习”是西村幸夫教授多年从事城乡遗产保护研究与教学工作的经验总结。田野学校旨在通过包括讲座授课、田野调查、分组讨论、分组讨论、设计提案、指导评优等环节的课程设计，让营员能真正进入现实场所，观察、体会、并进一步掌握田野工作的基本方法与技巧。同时，本次暑期学校的国际化生源，也将为学员提供足够广阔的观念互动与交流合作平台，有利于培养国际视野与跨文化交流的能力。

【西村幸夫教授简介】

西村幸夫教授为日本ICOMOS现任会长，历任东京大学教授、国际古迹遗址理事会（ICOMOS）副会长、东京大学副校长、东京大学先端科学技术研究中心主任等职。

西村教授长时期活跃在城乡文化遗产保护的世界舞台上，不仅通过大量的学术成果促成了日本城乡规划学界对“都市保全（城乡文化遗产保护）”学科性的认可（代表作《都市保全计画（日）》，也在国际古迹遗址理事会（ICOMOS）副会长任职期间推动了《西安宣言》的制定，其中包括了对文化遗产建成环境、非物质文化遗产等概念的引入，以及如何使世界遗产保护准则更进一步适合亚洲情况等等的讨论。是城乡文化遗产保护领域公认的国际级知名学者。

除此之外，他还是把社会学的工作方法引入遗产保护领域的开拓者之一。以他为首的东京大学城市设计研究室，从1970年代末期开始，就深入日本各地方与所在地群众一起，展开以“社区营造”为切入点的历史城乡文化遗产保护实践。其影响波及亚洲各地，包括我国台湾地区、泰国、韩国、越南等，被誉为“日本城乡再造泰斗”。

已有中译版的著作有《再造魅力故乡——日本传统街区重生故事》、《城市风景规划——欧美景观控制方法与实务》、《大家一起来打造观光城乡》等。

【西兴老街简介】

西兴老街位于浙江省杭州市萧山区，是杭州市挂牌保护的历史文化街区之一。西兴因其所在位置的重要性，曾是古钱塘江边的军事重镇、浙东入境首驿、浙东水运货物的重要集散地。现街区内有仍留存有多处历史遗存，包括古海塘堤、古桥、古井、古建筑基址等。目前除整治沿河立面外，尚未进行大规模的开发建设，老街内仍有大量居民日常居住和生活。

Field School Theme: Learning from Place

The theme “Learning from Place” is Professor Nishimura’s teaching concept based on his rich experience of research and practice in the field of urban heritage conservation. With a staff team united by Zhejiang University, the University of Tokyo, and Chulalongkorn University, the summer school aims at providing the students with basic field work skills, and challenges in quick observation and cross-cultural communication. A one-week teaching program, consists of  lectures, field surveys, group discussions, design workshops, and presentations, is designed to reach the goal. Best presenters and their work will be chosen to be awarded.

Yukio NISHIMURA

Trained as physical planner at the Department of Urban Engineering, the University of Tokyo, where he got a BA, MA and D Eng. Degree in planning. Professor Yukio Nishimura teaches urban planning, urban design and urban conservation planning at the University of Tokyo. Majoring in conservation planning, he has also been advising a number of historic cities and towns for their conservation plans throughout Japan as well as a variety of Asian countries, such as Taiwan, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and China. He is the chief honorary advisor to the Council for Cultural Affairs of the Government of Taiwan. He also served as Vice President of the International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS), which functions for the evaluation of World Cultural Heritage nominations as a consultative body of UNESCO.

Professor Nishimura is Vice President of the University of Tokyo since 2011.He is also President of the Asian Planning Schools Association, APSA, and President of ICOMOS Japan. Professor Nishimura is the author of three awarded books: Urban Conservation and Urban Design (1997), Urban Landscape Planning (2000), and Urban Conservation Planning (2004) (both in Japanese) and other six books. Yukio Nishimura edited nearly 40 books and contributed to around ninety books as coauthor. He worked as an UNESCO consultant in many World Heritage Sites, including Lijiang, Lhasa (China), Penang Melaka (Malaysia), Kyongju Seoul (South Korea), and Kathmandu & Lumbini (Nepal).

Xi-xing Historical District

Xi-xing Historical District is located in Xiao-shan, Hangzhou. It is one of the listed Historical Districts of Hangzhou city. It was once a military center and ancient station on the Qian-tang River route and an important transfer point of the canals in the East Zhejiang Area. There are still many existing historical relics in the district, including the ancient dam, bridges, wells, building foundations and historical houses. There are still a large number of local residents. Despite for the facade renovation along the river, no large-scale development and construction has been carried out yet.
